As part of CES, Yuneec is introducing a range of product improvements to meet the needs and desires of its customers. These include software updates for H520, Typhoon H Plus and Mantis Q:
H520 UPDATES
ORBIT / POI FLIGHT
Lets the H520 circle around the Pilot/Remote Control in a user defined distance, always pointing the camera to the center of the circle.
ROI SUPPORT
Region of Interest (ROI) allows the user to set a point of interest, for which the camera will stay focused.
RETURN TO CONTROLLER
This feature lets the H520 return to the position of the controller instead of the launch position.
E90 DIGITAL ZOOM
The new digital zoom feature allows the user to digitally zoom in and out with two finger gesture. Zoom factor is up to 8x, whereas the view on the ST16S is lossless up to 4x.
DATAPILOT CRASH LOGGING
Allows for better analysis of software crashes.
TERRAIN FOLLOWING
With terrain follow, the H520 adjusts its flying height in correspondence to the map’s height data.
CONCAVE POLYGON MISSION SUPPORT
Mission polygons can now be concave.

MANTIS Q UPDATES
SMART STREAMING
Smart Streaming improves the video transmission and transmission distance through an advanced dynamic stream downlink with a variable bitrate from 0.8 to 8Mbps. The drone will automatically adjust the video stream resolution depending on distance and interference. With Smart Streaming, the user will experience a smoother and more reliable video transmission.
FIND THE DRONE
This feature keeps the connection to a drone as long as possible to receive the latest telemetry data. The last known position of the drone can be located on the map of the Yuneec Pilot App to make it easier to navigate the pilot to its drone in case of a hard or unexpected landing.
VIDEO CACHE
The cache function automatically saves the live video feed in the smartphone – for instant sharing, as a backup video recorded in 720p or to better identify the last known location.
FLIGHT FOOTPRINT
This function locally records the pilot’s footprint for each flight and allows them to visualize on the map.
FLIGHT CONTROL SUPPORT ADVANCED FEATURES
User can choose advanced flight control functions in Sport Mode.
ADDITIONAL VOICE COMMANDS
The voice control is upgraded with the following new commands: Up, down, forward, backward, turn left, turn right, spin to left, spin to right, scram
